About the Program

Family Camp Virtual provides an enjoyable break for families who have a child diagnosed with cancer. We welcome all families who have a child 19 years of age or younger that has been diagnosed with any form of cancer. As always, our program is adaptive and inclusive to serve all ability levels. The camp experience provides support from other families who understand how a diagnosis affects the entire family. There will be an educational session for parents, activities to engage the kids, and fun family activities throughout the program. Care packages will be sent to each family with supplies for offline and online (Zoom video conferencing) activities. Families will have a chance to relax, reconnect as a family, and develop friendships with other families who truly understand the challenges that a cancer diagnosis presents.

A special thank you to The Coleman Foundation for helping to support the 2021 Family Camp Virtual Program.

Program Dates: October 15 – 17, 2021

What to Expect

Check out an iPad

We want to be sure each camper and volunteer has what they need to participate in our virtual programs. Camp One Step launched a technology initiative where campers can check out iPads for the duration of a Camp One Step program. We encourage you to test your device with Zoom prior to the program. Please note, Chromebooks are not always compatible with Zoom’s breakout room feature. When we ship you the device, we will include a return label to make it an easy process! If you would like to borrow an iPad or are in need of any other technical support, please contact Darryl at [email protected]
