The Power of ONE is about being part of a TEAM (Teamwork, Empowerment, Achievement and Motivation). ONE Participant, ONE Team or ONE Company.
Camp One Step’s campers make life-long friendships with peers who understand them – offering each other encouragement, understanding and hope throughout the year. The result is a tight-knit community of support for children who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Similarly, participants of the Power of ONE Challenge enjoy a supportive, virtual community of like-minded people who want to get fit while giving back. The Power of ONE will strengthen relationships as participants encourage each other to reach their goals, work-out together, go for group walks, or form a team.
September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month and we are looking for individuals to join our community by participating in the Power of ONE Challenge. Every person who participates will make a significant impact helping to send a child to camp!
TEAMWORK …. Working together towards a common goal!
Camp One Step campers make life-long friendships with peers who understand them offering each other encouragement, understanding and hope throughout the year. The result is a tight-knit community of support.
The Power of One will strengthen relationships as participants encourage each other to reach their goals, work-out together, go for group walks,
or form a team.
Camp One Step programs promote inclusion and ensures activities are accessible for all ability levels. For example, at Winter Camp and on the Utah Ski Program, adaptive ski equipment and instruction are offered so campers with limitations such as amputations, hearing/vision loss and balance issues can participate and enjoy the thrill of winter sports.
Similarly, the Power of ONE offers an accessible program that can be enjoyed by participants of all fitness levels and since it is virtual, can be used anytime, anywhere!
Have you ever doubted that you can reach a goal? To a child battling cancer, achievement means skiing down a mountain, learning how to swim or to do anything that they thought cancer had taken away from them. It means being able to celebrate reaching a goal with their camp community, family, friends, doctors and nurses.
Our community and inspiration will help Power of ONE participants continue to challenge themselves to meet or exceed their fitness goals.
To achieve the possible, we must attempt what we may think is impossible. At Camp One Step, motivation comes from our camp community. Their inspiration makes the impossible, possible.
Let your community of friends, family and co-workers motivate and inspire you take the challenge. YOU CAN make the impossible happen for children who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Get your company involved! Form a team and become the Power of ONE!
Calling All Companies! Double Your Team’s Impact!
Employers can double the impact of funds raised by its employees through sponsoring a matching gift challenge. Commit to matching a certain dollar amount raised by your employees, and together you and your team will double your donation to Camp One Step. For example, match the first $1,000 your employees raise, and collectively raise $2,000 to send twice as many kids to camp! It’s a simple yet impactful way to stand behind your team, and show your community of employees, customers and partners how much you care about children in need.
