Resources for Campers

Resources for Young Children

  • Cosmic Kids Yoga is a series of yoga videos for children that includes bright, colorful characters with playful, fun instruction.
  • YoPlay Yoga offers a number of free mindfulness and meditation practices for children. In order to access the free resources, you will need to subscribe to the site.
  • A simple happiness worksheet for all ages to draw and write what makes you happy for the day.

Resources for Adolescents

  • Gratitude for teens – a quick read that talks about the benefits of being grateful and the importance of building gratitude habits.
  • A 7 Day Gratitude Journal for Teens. Take some time each day to journal the things that you are grateful for and at the end of the week, write down the best things about the week.
  • Teens Finding Hope offers a number of free worksheets for teenagers to use including a Mood Chart, Thought-Feeling-Behavior Log, The Best Things About You, My Exercise Plan and Journal Prompts. Worksheets are available in both English and Spanish.
  • Journal buddies provides free writing prompts for kindergarten through high school.
  • Coloring pages that are designed specifically for teens.
  • Coloring pages with positive sayings on them geared towards teens.

Kids love to color but did you know that many adults also enjoy this activity.  Coloring has many demonstrated benefits – it helps to clear the mind and provides a sense of calm, can reduce stress and anxiety, helps individuals to focus, encourages creativity, and provides an outlet to express individuality.  Check out these free downloadable coloring pages for adults and kids.

  • Kids can meditate, too – explore Insight Timer meditations for children and teens. Designed for easing nerves, building self-confidence, and having a restful night’s sleep.
  • Breathe2Relax is an app to help slow your breath to calm your body. Adults and kids can use this. It can be found in the app store of your smart device.

Promoting Gratitude

Providing Support

  • Children’s Mental Health matters provides simple coping skills cards for younger children to choose which activity they would like to complete to feel better. Great for kids K-3.
  • Centervention has a variety of tools, primarily games, for elementary and middle school children to build social, emotional and behavioral skills.
  • Counselor Chelsey offers talking points and resources for parents on a variety of topics including anxiety. You will need to opt-in to access the free resources.
