How did you get involved with Camp One Step?
My Dad was a first year camper in 1978 and then went on to be a counselor. He always told my sister and I about how much Camp One Step meant to him and how fun it was! It was my dream growing up to follow in his footsteps and spend as much time as I could volunteering for our happy place.
How long have you been involved with the organization?
I started volunteering for Camp One Step in 2021.

What keeps you coming back to Camp One Step?
The joy Camp brings! Nothing makes me happier than seeing all the amazing campers and their families make memories and have fun. I love the connections and friendships I have made at Camp!
What do you love the most about the program you lead?
2023 will be my first year co-leading Day Camp but I am so excited to plan fun activities for our campers and get to spend time laughing, creating, playing, and making memories together!
What are some words of wisdom or advice that you would give campers?
Be yourself, try new things, and have fun! There’s something for everyone at Camp One Step.
What are some words of wisdom or advice that you would give new or interested volunteers?
If you are interested in volunteering my advice is to just sign up and start because once you do you’ll see the magic of Camp and you will want to keep coming back as much as you can!
What are some of your interests outside of camp?
I love to bake, read, travel, and spend time with my friends and family.
